Week 5 Hockey

Hi everyone,

Today We went over to Waikowhai intermediate's turf to play Hockey with our amazing coach Mr Bryan. We were learning to make sure we don't hit other people's hockey stick, we also learnt about not to put your hockey stick high. We also need to make sure that you have bent knees and make sure you have a straight back not a rounded back. We had a lot of fun at hockey, here are some photo's of hockey

Week 4 Assembly

Hi Everyone,
Yesterday on Tuesday 24th of May we had our first Assembly about Kiwiana Hulita and Anas were talking on stage about Kiwiana and staff that come from new Zealand like the kiwi fruit and Marmite. We had some New Zealand songs at our assembly like Poi E, slice of heaven and the gumboot song, some of the girls in our class performed Poi E with their poi's. Also Tui and Pee'ana wore a black singlet and a hat and gumboots like John Clarke my part at assembly was just singing we had some people riding scooters and they rode around and talked about the safety of scooter and that you need to wear a helmet  .  Here are some photo't of Scott classes assembly

Week 3 Gymnastics

Hi Everyone,
Today in Scott Class we went over to the hall for our third Gymnastics with our awsome coach Kane . We learnt about landing we used our motor bike landing position to jump on the vault, also we had to jump on the beat board and land on on motor bike position, We got to do a tuck shape and lean backwards,

Week 2 Spelling

Today in Scott Class we have been doing spelling we have some activities to do for spelling I have done word shapes it it really enjoyable we all have to do different ones each day and week my favourite one is the Alphabetical Order. Here is a photo's of what I have been doing for spelling .

Week 2 Reading

Today in Scott Class we have been doing reading me Emah and Jahleena has been doing our create task with was the importance of hygiene we wrote about why it is created and the importance of it. We had a lot of fun making it we have a list of thing of hygiene. Thank you for looking at my blog post.

Week 2 chess

Hi Everyone,

Today in Hay park school some of the classes went to the school hall so play chess. We had someone teaching us called Ash he tought us how play it and what the pieces do, he told us about when chess was made it was from India the 6th century the king wanted to fight in war but he was too lazy so he told one of his servants to make a game of war so he could play with. There were pieces like the king , Queen , Bishop , Knight , Rook, Pawn , those are all of the pieces you got to play with. Thank you for reading my blog post

Week 2 Gymnastics

Today we had our second session of Gymnastics with our amazing coach Kane. We learned about locomotion which means movements like the monkey crawl, scale balance and cartwheel, we had a lot if fun I was enjoying doing the handstand.
